How to clean up old metal file cabinets?

I obtained two four drawer metal file cabinets that are in good condition just need to be spruced up.
Clean with lacquer thinner, then sand lightly with 220 grit sandpaper. Then get the Krylon spray paint out and give it an even coat of paint.
Only one coat is needed unless you change the color. And it will look brand new afterward.
